Work > Beards and Bellies......click for details

Hand painted, naïve scenes which cost money have recently been replaced by flex posters, that are handed out free of charge to rickshaw drivers, advertising quack homeopathic doctors, health centers and self proclaimed religious figures. It is common to see a composition of a number of headshots of bearded men, size of the portrait determining the rank in their party. Each beard has a personality of its own, from the young, bushy, and dark ones, to the henna dyed orange beards that symbolizes the orthodox way of dying hair.
